Health Care Assistants
HEALTH CARE ASSISTANTS
Healthcare assistants will help with the day-to-day care of service users. Duties will include among others: assistance with getting in and out of bed, personal care, dressing, feeding, assistance with medication.
All our carers have undergone mandatory training which includes the following courses:
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health
Health and Safety at Work
Caldicott Principles
Fire Safety Awareness
Infection Control
Manual Handling – (Includes Practical Session)
Food Hygiene
Lone Working
Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
Safeguarding Children
Basic Life Support including CPR – (Includes Practical Session)
Handling medicines safely
Dementia awareness
Managing challenging behaviour
Incontinence care
